El pasado día 25 de Noviembre se concedían los premios de la edición número 54 de los Taipei Golden Horse Awards, los principales galardones concedidos en Taiwan y uno de los más prestigiosos de Asia. El premio a mejor película ha ido a parar a The Bold, the Corrupt, and the Beautiful, ultima producción del taiwanés Yang Ya-che, que también se ha llevado los premios a las interpretaciones femeninas para Kara Hui -actriz principal- y Vicky Chen -actriz de reparto-. Por su parte el premio a mejor director(a) ha sido para Vivian Qu por Angels Wear White. En lo referente a premios técnicos casi todos han estado repartidos entre See You Tomorrow y The Great Buddha +, llevándose esta última además el premio a mejor dirección novel para Huang Hsin-yao y el de mejor guión adaptado.
