A mediados del pasado mes de noviembre se celebró la gala de entrega de los premios de la critica filipina, los Gawad Urian, que reconocen lo mejor de la producción cinematográfica de aquel país durante el pasado año. El premio a mejor película fue para dos películas ex aequo, la comedia negra Big Night! y el drama criminal On The Job: The Missing 8. Esta última, dirigida por Erik Matti y secuela de su excelente On The Job (2013), que también tiene versión serie, ha sido la gran triunfadora llevándose la mayoría de los premios, entre ellos mejor dirección, guion, actor e interpretaciones de soporte.
