Hace unos días se concedieron los sexagésimo cuartos Blue Ribbon Awards, organizados por diversos medios especializados y críticos en la región de Tokio y que se celebran desde finales la década de 1950. En esta ocasión, y contra todo pronóstico vistos otros premiso similares del panorama local, la mejor película ha sido Last of the Wolves, conocida secuela del thriller yakuza de Kazuya Shiraishi.. Por su parte el premio a mejor dirección es para Miwa Nishikawa por Under the Open Sky, drama sobre un ex-yakuza que sale de la cárcel tras muchos años en prisión protagonizado por Koji Yakusho. Las interpretaciones han estado muy repartidas, pero me gustaría destacar el premio a mejor actuación novel para Yumi Kawai por sus interpretaciones en A Balance y la excepciona It’s a Summer Film!.
