Los Golden Rooster se crearon en 1981 avalados por la China Film Association, mientras que los Hundred Flowers se crearon en 1962 de la mano del Popular Cinema Magazine. Ambas galas separadas se unificaron en el China Golden Rooster & Hundred Flowers Film Festival que este año llega a su edición vigésimo octava como el festival más importante de toda la China continental. En esta ocasión tocaba entregar los 32nd Golden Rooster Awards y el premio ha mejor película ha sido para la cinta de ciencia ficción basada en la obra del Liu Cixin, The Wandering Earth, mientras que la mejor dirección ha ido, un año más, para Dante Lam por Operation Red Sea. Hasta siempre, mi hijo, del realizador Wang Xiaoshuai ha sido reconocida a nivel interpretativo con premios tanto para el actor Wang Jingchun como para la actriz Yong Mei. Por su parte The Wind Guardians, que pudo verse el pasado verano en el Festival Nits de Cinema Oriental de Vic, ha sido premiada como mejor animación del año.
