Jeonju International Film Festival (2012)

El conocido festival coreano Jeonju International Film Festival comienza si treceava edición el próximo día 26 de Abril ofreciendo una semana repleta del mejor cine coreano e internacional en las tierras de Jeonju. Aparte de la sección oficial competitiva, podemos encontrar diferentes secciones dedicadas exclusivamente al cine Coreano, así como otras secciones internacionales que abarcan el cine no solo de Asia, sino de todo el globo. También nos encontramos con el Stranger Than Cinema, dedicada a los cineastas contemporaneos mas avant-grade, y por supuesto con los Focus On, este año dedicados al realizador japonés Tomu Uchida, el español Albert Serra y el argentino Edgardo Cozarinsky, además de varios especiales.

Además de todo esto este festival destaca por el Jeonju Digital Project, un proyecto colaborativo que toma tres realizadores y conforma una colección de cortos temáticos. Este proyecto nace con la idea de dar soporte a nuevos, y no tan nuevos, realizadores para que puedan plasmar sus inquietudes creativas de manera libre y sin complejos.  Este año los realizadores elegidos han sido asiáticos  y están formados por Raya Martin, Vimukthi Jayasundara y Ying Liang.
